Managing acid/base levels with alkaline minerals

A study investigated the effect of a multimineral supplement rich in alkaline minerals on acute and chronic regulation of acid-base balance with the pH of blood, urine and saliva. Supplementation with alkaline minerals was associated with a significant and rapid increase in blood and urinary pH and a long-term increase in urinary pH after 1 week of supplementation.

Another study published in the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology showed that a disturbed acid-base balance may contribute to the symptoms of low back pain. The simple and safe addition of an alkaline multimineral preparation was able to reduce the pain symptoms in patients with chronic low back pain.
